!!! Updates for Dulce !!!

Dulce María is a 9-year-old girl from San Pablo (Manrique), with a noble heart and a clear vision for her future. She dreams of becoming a doctor, veterinarian, or police officer, professions she admires for their ability to help others. She is a sociable girl who loves chatting with her friends and has a very strong emotional connection with the volunteers; in fact, her biggest invitation is for them to stay longer to share more moments of play. Her favorite food is "salchipapas," and her presence radiates gratitude for the love she receives at the foundation.

Dulce María and her brother Liam lived for several years in an environment marked by physical and verbal abuse from their father, which led to their parents' separation some time ago. Their mother lacks stable employment, and both depend economically on their maternal grandmother, who lives in overcrowded conditions with seven other people. Due to family instability and lack of resources, Dulce and her brother spent a long period out of school. They arrived at the foundation last year seeking the protection and educational continuity that their home of origin could not provide.

What's new in school?  Dulce María has resumed her education with enthusiasm, showing a special inclination for Mathematics, which is her favorite subject. She deeply values the home's learning environment, highlighting that what she likes most about the foundation is the care and affection she receives from her educators. For her, school is the path to achieving her great purpose: saving lives.

What does she do after school?  She actively participates in all the home's group dynamics, where she has learned the importance of being a good person toward others. She greatly enjoys observing the local wildlife, joyfully mentioning having seen cows, geese, dogs, and cats. Furthermore, she is deeply involved in activities with volunteers, valuing human connection and the time shared in games and recreation.

What are her sports and hobbies?  Her favorite place is the sports field, mainly because she enjoys jumping on the trampoline, her favorite hobby. Regarding sports, she is passionate about basketball and soccer, and she has fun with traditional games like "hide and seek." She has a special love for cats, and her greatest wish is to be able to care for a baby kitten.
