They came to Medellín, to the Manrique neighborhood, looking for better opportunities. The mother got a job at a bakery in the neighborhood. The girls are left alone; they haven't been studying since they arrived. The maternal grandparents are deceased. The mother's adoptive father is the one who supported them in coming to Medellín. The mother has more siblings, but they all live in different parts of the country, which is why they don't have other support networks.

!!! Updates for Dani !!!
Dani Liceth is a 5-year-old girl with a sweet personality and a heart full of dreams. Her favorite color is red, and her favorite food is chocolate cake. She has very clear goals for the future: she wants to be a doctor and a singer. She feels very happy at the foundation, valuing the moments where she can learn, play with her friends, and receive affection from her caregivers in a safe and stimulating environment.
Dani joined Hogar de Cristo in September 2025 alongside her older sisters, Valery and Sara. Her family moved from Manizales to Medellín seeking stability, as they previously lived in a tense environment at their paternal grandfather's house. Upon arriving in Medellín, her mother found work at a bakery, but the lack of support networks and the passing of her maternal grandparents left the girls alone and without access to education. The foundation welcomed them to provide the care, protection, and schooling that Dani needed at her young age.
What's new in school? At 5 years old, Dani is starting her formative years with great enthusiasm. At the foundation, she actively participates in learning activities where she is already working on vowels and numbers. She is a curious girl who thoroughly enjoys listening to stories and reading sessions, demonstrating a positive and receptive attitude toward her first academic responsibilities.
What does she do after school? She is a very joyful girl who easily integrates into all group dynamics. She participates in dance and music sessions, activities she is passionate about. During her playtime, she especially enjoys being at the playground, where she has fun in the playhouse and experimenting with sand. Her daily life at the foundation is filled with activities that combine play with learning basic values of coexistence.
What are her sports and hobbies? Her favorite hobbies are coloring and playing at the park. Despite her young age, she also shows interest in soccer. She has a special connection with small animals, with bunnies and small dogs being her favorites. Her preferred spots are those where she can express her creativity through color and free play.
